Galen Rupp Earned Dominant Win in Roma-Ostia Half MarathonBy Adam Kopet Galen Rupp won Sunday's Roma-Ostia Half Marathon by nearly a minute in Rome, Italy, according to an IAAF recap by Diego Sampaolo. Rupp's time of 59:47 easily outdistanced Moses Kemei of Kenya, who finished second in 1:00:44. This was Rupp's first time dipping under the hour mark for the half marathon and he finished only four seconds shy of Ryan Hall's American record. However, the Roma-Ostia Half Marathon course is not record eligible. Rupp is in his build up for the 2018 Boston Marathon. He will be hoping to improve upon his second-place finish from last year. Since then, Rupp has won the 2017 Chicago Marathon. More news |
